PURPOSE of BAFFIN XL
BAFFIN XL is recommended for people with the abnormal curvature of the spine and muscle dysfunction. It is recommended for children suffering from cerebral palsy, muscle dystrophy, palsies of different origin, tetra and paraplegia and also for children suffering from abnormal posture.
The main purpose of the seat is the passive correction of the posture in the sitting position. The device enables (in optimal position) to adjust correctly users spine and pelvis. The correct posture improves the quality of life. It enables the tree basic systems: respiratory, blood circulation and digestive to work more properly.
BAFFIN XL the seat and standing device in one.
Baffin is equipped with remote control so we can easily change positions from sitting to the lying and from lying to the standing. Changing the position has a significant effect on the articular skeletal system. Thanks to multipositions, person that uses the device does not perpetuates one pattern of the seat. Frequent change of position also prevents the formation of joint contractures and muscle.

The innovative charakter of the product lies in the resemblance of the human spine. Innovative constructional solutions enable individual fitting of the back, shoulders, pelvis and thighs support to the shape needed in the process of treatment and rehabilitation of people with movement dysfunctions.
BALANCING SYSTEM
Each of the LIW care technology devices in a series of Baffin has a specially designed balancing system located in seat. this system does not allow to charge one part of the pelvis and equalizes the load on the right or left side of the pelvis while sitting. The possibility of smooth adjustment of buttocks burden helps to prevent and treat bedsores and prevents skin irritation even after long period of sitting. Adjusting the settings of the pelvis ( pelvis in the seated position is the basis for the entire body) adjusts the setting of the spine which allows to force the correction of the entire body. Baffin XL is tailored to your needs. At certain intervals, usually once every two months ( or more) settings are adjusted and adapted to the new ( proximal correct ) position , which helps to improve the effectiveness of existing rehabilitation and introduce a new exercises. Innovative feature of this device is possibility to match the current position and body weight when will it change. This device has adjustable depth and width. These regulations ensure the long use of the device without having to change, even if the parameters of the body will change.
